This tutorial has been one of the most important tutorials that I have ever watched.

http://www.photoworkshop.com/adobe/software_cinema
SELECT Adobe Photoshop CS, CS2 and CS3
SELECT Julieanne Kost. You may have to move your cursor to just under her name. On my browser I have to click on Kevin Aimes
SELECT Advanced Colour Correction
The Quicktime tutorial will start to run...

The rest is up to you.

Superb tutorial but im not sure my photoshop CS3 is behaving as it should. I can do the basics ok with CS3 but new things like this cause me problems, until i get the hang of it!

First problem is when i set the threshold, the histogram disappears after each point is selected. The levels layer is then sorted as described.

Finally when im saving the finished article as a JPEG, my save panel starts off to save a PSD, but when changed to save as a JPEG, the picture is saved as a copy. Is there a way to save as a normal? If you know what i mean!
Arabest,
Geoff.

The Threshold can be done though the Layers Palate.

A tip is to hold down the Control and space bar and that will allow you to zoom in to the Threshold.
